Springfield Model 1888 Infantry Rifle with "Ram-Rod" bayonet. Overall condition of this rifle is excellent. This rifle is untouched with a "1891 cartouche". This rifle was a New York Militia issue with "Rack Number" and "13thNY" on the left butt of the rifle. The bore is bright and shiny with strong rifling. The bore will rate a 10 on a 1 to 10 scale. 90+% original rust blue with smooth metal and no damages. Lots of bright case colors remain on the bolt. The issue cleaning kit is still with this rifle and in excellent condition with 99.9% of its original finish. Nice untouched Springfield!!
