Winchester Model 1886 Sporting Rifle .45/70gvt. The serial number of this rifle is 16898 placing date of manufacture in 1888. A Factory "Worksheet" from the Buffalo Bill Museum in Cody, Wyoming will accompany this rifle. Overall condition of this rifle is verygood to fine with thin bluing. All original and untouched the case colors are mostly silvered out on the receiver,however faint color can be seen. The single set trigger functions perfectly. The action is tight, smooth and mechanically perfect. Very nice "First Model" priced right.
