Winchesters Model 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine .44-40wcf. The serial number of this carbine is 792XXX placing date of manufacture in 1915. Overall condition of this carbine is excellent with the Barrel and Magazine retaining 98% of the original factory blue. The bore is minty with no evidence of wear or use. The receiver has retained approx. 50-60% of its original factory blue the remainder turning a nice even patinal. The action is tight, smooth and mechanically perfect. Wood to metal fit is perfect without any damage or evidence of sanding. Both the forend and buttstock have 95% of the factory varnish in place.
