Winchester Model 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine .44wcf. (.44-40). The serial number of this carbine is 861XXX placing date of manufacture in 1918. Overall condition of this carbine is fine. The barrel and magazine have retained approx. 80-85% of the original factoru blue. The bore is exceptional and will rate a 9 on a 1 to 10 scale. I can see some "leading" in a couple of spots. Should clean out with a good scrubbing leaving a 10 bore! The receiver is mostly a nice even and smooth grey/plum patina. The action is tight, smooth and mechanically perfect.
