Winchester Model 1892 Sporting Rifle .32-20wcf Octagon Barrel. The serial number of this rifle is 908XXX placing date of manufacture in 1921. The barrel and Magazine have retained 98+% of the original factory blue. The bore is mint and will rate a 10 on a 1 to 10 scale. The bore shows no evidence of being fired other than the factory proofing. The receiver has flaked to 85-90% original factory blue remaining. The action is tight, smooth and mechanically perfect. The stock has retained approx. 95% of the original factory varnish. The wood sits "proud" at all metal contacts, typical for this period. There is a "splinter" and repair at the lower right tang. This can be fixed a little better than it was.
